(This includes idols makers). Philippians 3:18-19. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God INTO AN IMAGE made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:23. To make an image of God is to bring HIM down from GLORY, to man’s level. It can’t be done. The bible says don’t even try it. The bible makes NO consideration for a person’s attitude, intentions, faith, or belief of theology. Basically, what you think about it doesn’t matter to God. He doesn’t care about anything you, (or I), have to say about making images of God. Can you photograph God? Can you imagine in your nice little 3 pound brain what
God looks like? Do you like to have little trinket reminders of who God is? How about a pretty picture of God on your church wall? Or a very nice expensive stained glass window of Jesus carrying a little lamb over His shoulders? Doesn’t the little lamb look just so cute? You can see the love in his eyes for his Shepherd. ALL THIS STUFF IS IDOL WORSHIP. There’s no two ways about it, DON’T MAKE ANY IMAGES OF GOD, PERIOD. Not a picture, drawing, sketch, clay figurine, wooden statue, any kind of statue, jewelry, NOTHING, I REPEAT NOTHING. You got a problem with this? Don’t get mad at me, I didn’t write this stuff, GOD DID, TAKE IT UP WITH HIM. You bless nobody with any image of God, of Jesus, or of the Holy Spirit, on the wall, around your neck, even stamped into your bible cover!!! I want you to live a long and prosperous life, study His Word, obey His Word, cast aside all idols, and, Be Blessed.
