Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4646

Daily Devotional. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the Knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. FOR IT HAD BEEN BETTER FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAN, AFTER THEY HAVE KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT DELIVERED UNTO THEM. 2 Peter 2:18-21. It will be bad enough to deny Christ as Lord and Saviour throughout your life, die in your sins and end up in Hell, but apparently, to hear, see and even taste of the Gospel Message unto Salvation, and turn your back to what you KNOW FIRST HAND AS THE TRUTH, that punishment seems to have an even worse outcome. Nothing comes to my mind as far as different “levels” of punishment in Hell or ultimately in the Lake of Fire for all eternity, but if the Lord says it’ll be worse, I’ll take His Word for it. The rich man in Hell was begging for just one drop of water to cool his tongue as a momentary relief from his pain and torment. That in itself is really rough. It’s been said, “Hell’s not so bad, it’s the Lake of Fire you’ve got to watch out for”. So it seems the bottom line is going to be, no matter what “level” or intensity, or inflicted pain a lost sinner will suffer, IT’LL ALL BE BAD AND YOU DON’T WANT ANY OF IT!!! So let’s do some GOoD News here. You’re still reading and if you’re lost and need Christ and His Blood Bought Forgiveness, Christ has it all and is eagerly waiting for you to ask Him for it. To repent of your sins, meaning, to see your sins as vile and wicked and understand that only through Christ and His Blood can you, Be Blessed.
