(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that THEY ARE THE ENEMIES OF THE CROSS OF CHRIST: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Philippians 3:18-19. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an IMAGE made LIKE to CORRUPTIBLE MAN, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:23. There are many things we do in life, and in church, that we have done “forever” and no one has ever had a problem with them. No one’s ever said this is bad, or don’t do that, it’s just a way of life. So this will not be a “bashing” season of long held traditions, and not so long held things we do. We can claim ignorance, or, no one ever said, or, it just seems right to do, or other reasons, but that’s all surface stuff of, “I like what we do and we’ll keep doing it because we like it”. Have you EVER taken all that you say, sing, and do, and laid it all at the Lord’s feet, and asked HIM what HE wants? Put everything up for grabs. What do you do because YOU want to, and what do you do because the Lord TOLD you to? There are all kinds of things we do, but WHY? Let’s say you make coffee mugs with Jesus picture on them. Is it simply to make a few bucks and claim, I didn’t know God said don’t make any image of Him? Ok, fair enough. NOW YOU KNOW, DON’T DO IT. Now the hard part, do you stop making Jesus mugs, or blow it off with, “I tithe 10%, leave me alone”. More Christians are starting to call out SIN. Will you stop if they call out one of yours? Or call them legalists? Who has your heart, you, or God? Give it ALL to the Lord, and, Be Blessed.
