(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that THEY ARE THE ENEMIES OF THE CROSS OF CHRIST: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Philippians 3:18-19. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God INTO AN IMAGE MADE LIKE TO CORRUPTIBLE MAN, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:23. When a surgeon goes in to remove cancer, he has to be very skillful to remove only the diseased parts, and leave the healthy part alone. The Lord calls it “dividing asunder”, Hebrews 4:12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It is my Prayerful Attempt at MORNINGTIME to reveal what I understand as sin, that you may take it to the Lord and ask Him IF there’s anything to it, and IF SO, what does He, and you, want to do about it. Many times I’ll hit the good stuff and it sounds like I’m calling it bad. It’s not intentional. Case in point. Recently I said idol worship was bad and make no images of God. That’s biblical. I also commented that the cross could be idol worship. Just as Moses made a serpent of brass to be used to heal people bitten by a snake, Numbers 21:9, the people eventually turned to WORSHIP the snake on the pole, so He had to destroy it to stop idol worship. Today, the Cross is used to remind us of Christ and His Gift of Life, (as in stamped into bible covers), OK, but some religions, especially one big one, actually worship the cross like IT can get you into heaven, completely missing the fact that it is Christ alone as the way into heaven. Whatever you read, always take it to the Lord and ask, “Does this apply to me”? You and the Lord talk it over, and, Be Blessed.
