Daily Devotional. The preparations of the Heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean IN HIS OWN EYES; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, EVEN THE WICKED FOR THE DAY OF EVIL. Every one that is Proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By Mercy and Truth iniquity is purged: and by the Fear of the LORD men depart from evil. When a man’s Ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better is a little with Righteousness than great revenues without right. A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:1-9. THE HEART is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: WHO CAN KNOW IT? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even TO GIVE EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS (HEART’S) WAYS, and according to the Fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:9-10. Your Heart and your Heart’s Attitudes, your Heart’s Ways, are secret and private to you alone, and no other man can Know them. You can talk a good game all day long and fool people into believing you are a certain kind of person that you want them to see and believe about you. But way deep in your Heart is where your real Ways and Motives can be found. No MAN can see them, but the Lord KNOWS all things. If you have a good Heart towards the Lord, He will Bless you and Honour you. If your Heart is wicked towards the Lord, He will curse your ways and you WILL be found out eventually, FOR ALL MEN TO SEE. A lost man’s Ways is to Deceive. A Saved man’s Ways is to be Cleansed and Purified of the evil in his Heart, and to Grow in CHRISTLIKENESS. Only the Lord can see and bring out the rot hidden in a man’s heart, AND THE MAN NOT EVEN KNOW IT’S THERE. Believer, the Holy Spirit, will show you a hidden thing in your Heart and work on it, that you may GREATLY, Be Blessed.
