Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4587

Daily Devotional. STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. 2 Timothy 2:15. But he that is joined unto the Lord IS ONE SPIRIT. What? know ye not that your body is the Temple of THE HOLY GHOST WHICH IS IN YOU, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore GLORIFY GOD IN your BODY, AND IN your SPIRIT, WHICH ARE GOD’S. 1 Corinthians 6:17,19-20. Question, do you find reading the Book of Leviticus as dull and boring as a box of rocks, assuming of course you’re willing to read Leviticus, or do you dig and dig hard to find those Blood Stained Golden Nuggets of Truth so Precious you can’t “put a GOoD Book down”? The Holy Spirit, through men willing to write down all that He said to write, wrote ALL of the Bible, and He’s not One to waste space or add useless info just to fill a page. If ALL The Word is Precious, than anything less than Precious to us, as we read, means we’re missing something and maybe this would be a good time to ask The Writer what He had in Mind  as He wrote those “boring” words. To be fair here, of course there are times when we read and we’re really tired, the words and the point they’re trying to make just aren’t pulling together, or what’s being read is talking about things we have no understanding of, that’s just part of reading and it happens. But when you DO take time to dig in and study, do you come away with a Joy of Study and Understandings you didn’t have before? The Word of God is Precious to God, so anything less than that for us means we’re missing something and may need to dig a little more to find the Preciousness of The Word. No guilt and shame, just trying to Encourage here to “Keep Digging” and the Holy Spirit WILL make it worth while. Christ IS The Word, and there’s nothing boring about Him. When you read and don’t understand, put it on “The shelf”, and eventually the Holy Spirit will Teach you All Things, and you will, Be Blessed.
