Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4600

Daily Devotional. For the Wrath of God is revealed from Heaven AGAINST ALL ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, WHO HOLD THE TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Romans 1:18-19. This is easy to Preach that even sinners recognize and understand that the God of Holiness is angry with the unholy. We all know that sinners are unholy and deserve the Wrath (the Anger) of God against them. Be careful Believers don’t fall into a “holier than thou” attitude. Remember, “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank Thee, that I am not as other (sinful) men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican”. Luke 18:11. This Pharisee understood that God, in His Holiness, was angry against sinful men living in their sinful ways. They were easy to spot and even easier to call out. Like a man who falls into a mud puddle and comes up covered in mud, (sin). These Pharisees put themselves above all sinners as men TOTALLY FREE OF SIN. Because of their “holiness” it was easy for them to call out everyone else’s unholiness. They totally missed the fact that ALL men (but Christ) are unholy, THEMSELVES INCLUDED. And that’s the trap, to compare ourselves, as Believers washed in the Blood of Christ, to all those sinful men living in sin. It’s easy to call them out as Sinners on their way to Hell AND ALL THEIR SINFULNESS WILL BRING THE  WRATH OF GOD DOWN ON THEM. In God’s Eyes, Christ has cleansed us and to Him, we ARE Pure and Holy. BUT AS MEN LIVING IN A WORLD OF SIN, we too need to check ourselves (even daily?) to find even a small residue of some sin the Holy Spirit is still freeing us from. We Grow in Christ daily as the Holy Spirit frees us from sins that so easily beset us. It’s a continual Battle against sin, and even if you’re 99.999% Pure, you still have that tiny impurity (illustration) THAT THE WRATH OF GOD IS AGAINST IN YOU. Examine yourself, check for sin, and, Be Blessed.
