Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4615

Daily Devotional. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, BECAUSE OF YOUR UNBELIEF: for verily I say unto you, IF YE HAVE FAITH as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but BY PRAYER AND FASTING. Matthew 17:16,18-21. To Pray unceasingly, is good. To fast, to keep the bodies desires in check, is good. But to combine them together, it’s like bringing out the “big guns”, and that is REALLY GOoD. Fasting is done differently by different people so you “Fast” in the way you and the Lord decide on. With that as the Base, is “Prayer & Fasting” ever too big to bring up against any issues you’re dealing with? Is Prayer & Fasting like bringing a 12 gauge shotgun, to kill a mosquito? Or is it safe to bring Prayer & Fasting against ANY problem you’re dealing with? Or is Satan so devious and sneaky that to bring Prayer & Fasting against ANYTHING he tries to do or start, is OK, Safe and Appropriate? Can you ever bring too big a “response” against Satan, or is Prayer & Fasting, if you want to, ALWAYS a GOoD response? Always good in the Eyes of the Lord? What I’m asking is, is Prayer & Fasting ever too much, to bring against any satanic attack? The answer is found in the daily Life of Jesus, He was ALWAYS “at the ready” so when the Disciples brought Him a case too tough for them to handle, He was ALWAYS Ready for ANYTHING, anytime and anywhere. As you study the Life of Jesus on a day to day basis, you and the Lord work out the details of how YOU need to respond to whatever attacks Satan throws at you. Remember, the Lord allows Satan to come against you, (ONLY to the degree the Lord allows), to Grow you in Christ to, Be Blessed.
