Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4634

Daily Devotional. Humble yourselves therefore under The Mighty Hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the Faith, KNOWING THAT THE SAME AFFLICTIONS ARE ACCOMPLISHED IN YOUR BRETHREN THAT ARE IN THE WORLD. But the God of all Grace, Who hath called us unto His Eternal Glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To Him be Glory and Dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11. One way to read this is, the same afflictions that plague the lost people of the world, intending to draw them to Christ, are the same afflictions Believers suffer, to draw them even more into Christ and CHRISTLIKENESS. I’ll explain. When people of the world suffer a disaster, like a ferocious hurricane, they ask, “Oh no, what will I do, how will I get through this”? The Lord’s answer may be, “I’m the Lord and I’m here to help you through this, Trust My Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to Save you from a worse fate and help you navigate through the rest of your life”. A Believer, suffering through the same hurricane affliction can ask, “Lord, will You help me to Understand what You’re doing here, what You want to accomplish in and through me, and how can I help my fellow man to find Christ and be Saved”? The same affliction with two totally different ways to look at it. The lost man is insecure and looking to himself to find answers. The Saved man is very Secure about his Life and Eternity and is looking to bring Christ to the lost man and testify of the Saving Power of Christ for all Eternity. The lost man has lost Everything. The Saved man has lost Stewardship over things that belonged to the Lord anyway. But what he is still Steward over, he gladly shares with the lost man. Are you lost or Saved? Either way, Grow in Christ, and, Be Blessed.
