Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4643

Daily Devotional. … for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 2 Peter 2:19b. To be in bondage is not necessarily a bad, or a good, thing. To be bound to something is to not come apart or away from. To be bound to your wife/husband in a Godly Marriage is a good thing. “Lord, pull the Bond even tighter, that we never come apart”. But to be bound in sin to an addiction can be a very bad thing. The question comes down to what or Who do you WANT to be bound to? Satan will work to entice you to walk into sin and deeper into that sin. HE CAN NOT PUSH YOU, YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE TO WALK MORE AND DEEPER INTO THAT SIN. It will be by YOUR choice how much sin you want to be involved in. And only you will be held accountable for your “depth” of sin on Judgment Day. Satan will already have his own problems. (Yes, we all start with a sin nature, but that’s another issue). When the Lord calls you to come to Him in Faith Believing, He’ll give you more than enough reason and understanding to Follow Him. But it’s still your choice to follow or not. Your Godly DNA, in every cell of your being, tells you to leave sin, AND BE BOUND TO CHRIST. It starts as a Still Small Voice as the Holy Spirit pulls on your “Heart Strings”. This is the time in your life that this Choice will affect, effect and infect you for all eternity. This is where you choose to be Bound to sin, or be Bound to Christ and this bond will last for ever. Only the Lord Himself Known the point in your life when this choice will count for all eternity. You may be “Preached” to for years, but “That Moment of Choice”, only the Lord known. And if you do choose Christ to be bound to Him, He’ll “unbound” you from Sin and Bind you to Himself so tightly you’ll KNOW you’re bound to Him AND have His Assurance that you’re His He’ll also give you the Peace that passes Understanding and fill you with Joy Unspeakable so much so that not only will YOU know it, but those around you will too, as you now will Greatly, Be Blessed.
